The Day After Christmas Shopping Haul

Good morning! Today I will share a few of my purchases from December 26, 2013! This is a bit late but better late than never, right?

I didn't go to a lot of stores...mainly just to the outlet mall (where I purchased a wallet from Kate Spade, which I will reveal in a future post), Kohl's, H&M, and TJ Maxx. I also didn't buy a lot of things! I had to show a lot of self restraint since I spent way too much money during December T^T

Taiwan Haul: Part 6

*Don't forget to enter my Thank You giveaway here! Ends in just a few days!*

This is the last part of my Taiwan Haul "series"....finally! This post is going to feature all the clothing items that I purchased in Taiwan.

I bought this denim vest at Wu Fen Pu. I think it was about $12. The quality is amazing and I'm sure that it would cost at least $30 in America. I'm not sure what to wear with it though, so suggestions are more than appreciated!

I bought this peter pan collared polka dot dress for only $5 at Feng Jia Night Market. The material is pretty thin and it's a bit short, but I like it a lot.

I bought this navy/white stripped tank for $6 at Wu Fen Pu. It's a bit pricey and H&M probably sells something very similar for $5, but I didn't bring a lot of tank tops with me to Taiwan and that was a huge mistake T^T This was one of the only tank tops that I saw that didn't have random English words printed all over it haha.

I love this sea foam green dress! I usually don't buy super feminine clothing like this but this was too cute to pass up. However, it's really short on me and so I would definitely have to wear tights or leggings with it. I got this dress for $6 at Wu Fen Pu.

I have been on the hunt for a plaid dress for quite a while and was definitely super excited when I saw this dress on the sale rack at one of the stores in Wu Fen Pu. This was only $3! The quality is actually really good, so this was such a steal.

This was probably the most expensive clothing item that I bought in Taiwan. I bought this dress for $18 (after a lot of haggling) at Wu Fen Pu. However, I really liked the design and I figured $18 wasn't a bad price.

I love the floral crochet pattern to death.
.

This dress was $6 and purchased at the very first store I entered at Wu Fen Pu.

The quality isn't that great but for $6 I can't complain too much.

I bought this striped dress at a store in the Underground Mall. I think this was about $6.

As you can see I bought two of them in different colors. The material is quite thick and comfy.

This was purchased for $6 at Wu Fen Pu. The quality kind of sucks and it's a bit short :/

Finally, I bought the top two skirts at Wu Fen Pu for $3 each. The quality is really good; the material is quite thick. I bought the polka dot shorts and the cat print shorts for $4 each at a small store in the Underground Mall.

And that concludes my Taiwan Haul posts! Hope you enjoyed them :)

H&M Sale Purchases

I went to the mall with my brother and cousin Ivy. I didn't plan on buying anything but whom was I kidding haha. I controlled myself at Forever 21 and didn't buy anything, but H&M was having a "take an additional 50% off all sale items" sale and I could NOT resist. I originally wanted to purchase a whole pile of clothes but somehow narrowed it down to just 2 items.

I bought this cardigan for only $3.50! In my opinion that's an insane deal. I usually stay away from greens and bright colors (my go-to color palette is black, gray, white, and/or navy blue) but since it's the summer time, I thought why not.

This burgundy skirt was $13 (not on sale). The length is perfect; it's not too short and it's not too long. The material is also really nice!

I spent a long time with my brother in the men's section, so I probably would have ended up buying a ton more stuff if I just stayed in the women's section. I picked out a few things for him and he actually ended up buying them >:D

Hope you enjoyed this haul! Let me know if you already have checked out or plan on checking out H&M's sale section :)

Anthropologie, DSW, and F21 Haul

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates :X I have been so busy with work and classes this past week that I barely had time to sit down and breathe. Needless to say I missed blogging quite a bit :) I am quite behind on my Taiwan/Japan posts and will probably only put a few more up when I have time to dig through my photos and edit them all. However, I have so many other posts to put up (I have 7 drafts right now) and I want to start doing OOTDs and reviews again as it's been highly requested from a lot of readers...

In any case, today I'm going to share a few purchases I bought over the last week.

I stopped by Anthropologie with my mom the other day. My mom found this gorgeous top for only $8! So crazy; I rarely see Anthropologie clothes marked down to $15, let alone $8. The price tag actually said it was on sale for $35 but when we got to the register we found out that it was only $8....again, so crazy. We're the same size so I'll definitely be stealing it :)

As for me, I bought this beautiful and soft seafoam green sweater. I love the silver accents! This was on sale for $25. This is actually a size Large and I'm a size small, but it actually fits quite well and in any case I love baggy sweaters.

This pair of gorgeous brown boots was purchased for $50 at DSW. I love my black pair of combat boots and so I wanted more in all sorts of different colors! I picked brown first because I love the look of brown combat boots and a floral dress. Sadly I currently only own one floral dress but I know I'll buy more in the near future.

I bought this pair of earrings for about $2 at Forever 21. I rarely wear sparkly jewelry but I love the rose gold color and the design. Plus it was only $2!

Hope you enjoyed my haul! And don't forget to enter my giveaway (which ends soon!) here!

Forever 21 Haul

Hi everyone! sorry for the lack of posts. This week has been absolutely crazy; aside from finals, I also had to start preparing for my summer vacation and also pack everything in my dorm room...I'm officially done with my freshman year of college! :)

A few weeks ago I placed an order on Forever21.com. I really liked the pair of high waisted shorts I got last time (in black) and so I decided to get another pair in red. They fit perfectly and aren't too short on me, which is rare (I'm 5'6"). This is probably the only red clothing that I own! I fall back on navy/white/black clothing too much and decided to start buying more colorful clothing as a way to expand my wardrobe.

I have never been a hat person. In fact, for the last 10 years of my life, I refused to wear a hat of any kind. However, I saw this polka dot baseball cap and instantly fell in love. I like to constantly mix up girly/cutsey clothes with edgy clothing, and so I thought this was a great representation of my style; the navy and white polka dot print is really cute but the baseball cap form is boyish. Also, I think a hat is a must-have if I am in Taiwan/Japan. I was initially worried about the fit since this cap is actually from the men's section; however, it fits perfectly.

I have this weird obsession with tigers and lions. I have been seeing a lot of shirts and dresses featuring the aforementioned animals and have been wanting to buy everything haha. However, I restrained myself and only bought this white/black studded muscle shirt. It's not see through, which is a major plus because I find that a lot of the white shirts sold at Forever 21 to be semi-transparent. I'm not sure if I like the gold studs all that much but the tank is overall light and comfortable!

Last but not least, I got this floral dress. It's a lot shorter than I thought it would be, so I definitely have to wear tights or leggings with it. Plus it's a bit uncomfortable by the waistline; it's sort of scratchy but not to the point in which it's unbearable. Since the dress was only $11, I have decided to go ahead and keep it.

[On a side note, I have so much to do today :/ I have to finish packing for Taiwan/Japan (I'm leaving in two days!) and buy everything I need for tomorrow's Mother's Day breakfast a;fskjfsfsa]

Charlotte Russe and Forever 21 Purchases

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts; I went home this past weekend and tried to avoid the computer as much as possible so I could spend time with my family :) Plus I somehow lost my SD card, which means I lost over 1,000 pictures T_T" I obtained another SD card but I'm still upset at myself. However, it's hard to stay in a bad mood when it's sunny and 70 degrees outside! I'll put up an OOTD post later.

As mentioned in this post, I went to the mall the other day with my roommate. I actually went with the intention of NOT buying anything, but of course I couldn't resist buying what I consider to be "essentials" :P

I love how cute these two pairs of earrings are! I don't have enough gold colored jewelry (I tend to gravitate toward silver colored earrings) and so I thought these were a must-have. These earrings were purchased from Forever 21.

While waiting for my roommate as she looked for scarves at Charlotte Russe, I spotted a table full of denim shorts for sale. I am absolutely head over heels for the whole high waisted shorts trend and have been meaning to purchase a pair of high waisted denim shorts. I specifically wanted a shredded light wash pair, but sadly I couldn't find any. I thought the sale price was pretty good though (the shorts were marked down from $25 to $15) and ended up buying a pair of shorts anyway. I'm not sure if there's a big difference between high rise and high waisted shorts. My mom just gave me her old pair of high waisted shorts and they sit only a tiny bit higher than these high rise shorts ._.

On a side note, I won't get to open my Forever 21 package (mentioned here) until May 10th :( I wasn't thinking and had the package shipped home instead of to my dorm asfaw;fja.

Preview: Forever 21 Order

Hi everyone! I have been trying to finish one of my essays due this Friday and so I've been extremely stressed and busy. So today while taking a break from writing, I decided to do some online window shopping. I swear, I was only going to look at items and not buy anything.
I should have known myself better -_-"
I ended up buying a few things (I originally added like 20 items to my cart but thought better of it) and so here is a look at what I ordered:

I needed to buy a hat before I went off to Taiwan. I normally hate wearing hats but I really liked the polka dot print and so I decided to buy one. I'm sure I can find one for a cheaper price in Taiwan but for some reason I feel better ordering it from Forever 21 than buying it from the night market ._. I'm not sure how the floral dress will look on me, but regardless, I can't wait for everything to arrive~!

Nordstrom Rack Haul

My mom and I stopped by Nordstrom Rack last night after buying fruit and veggies at Whole Foods). I wasn't planning on buying anything, but walked out with two pairs of shoes -_-"

One of my Ugg boots got a hole near the toe recently so I needed new winter boots. At first, I was planning on buying another pair of Uggs; although they aren't the most attractive boots ever, they certainly keep my feet warm. However, the traction sucks and I find myself slipping all the time. I found these pair of snow boots marked down from $150 to $30. They're not that stylish but it keeps my feet warm AND provides enough traction to make sure that I won't fall if there's snow/slush outside.

I also bought this pair of nude t strap flats. I actually have been eyeing these flats for a while and they finally got marked down to a reasonable price, $15! They're kind of snug (I usually wear a size 8 or 8 1/2 and these happen to be a size 8) but I'm sure that as I wear them more often, they'll stretch a little.

My mom picked out this high-low skirt for me. I like the color (white with gold sparkles) but I'm just not sure about the high-low part. It's only $6 though...

What do you guy think? Keep or return?

Brushes, Blush, and Blazer

Edit: ^ The alliteration was completely unintentional

Until two days ago, I never understood why people bought so many makeup brushes. I was satisfied with just my Ecotools kabuki brush and my Ulta blush brush. I scoffed at the idea that a good quality brush could make that much of a difference. But then I was looking at reviews on Makeupalley and noticed that there were extremely good reviews for a makeup brush brand called Paris Presents. Apparently the brushes are amazing and affordable, and so I headed out to my local Walmart to purchase the HD powder brush and the HD angled blush brush.

And now I can't stop buying brushes -___-"

They were so soft and fluffy that I went on Makeupalley once again and discovered this line of makeup brushes called Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman. So the next day, I went out to Ulta to purchase the powder brush and the blush brush. And again, the quality was beyond what I expected. I actually went back to Ulta the very same day to buy the expert face brush and the setting brush.

L to R: powder brush, expert face brush, blush brush, setting brush, HD powder brush, HD angled blush brush

I know my collection is nothing compared to that of most bloggers, but as a broke college student, me buying 6 brushes within 2 days is a huge deal haha. But these brushes are so worth it :)

I also decided to splurge and buy the tarte amazonian clay blush in Exposed. I tend to spend around $6 for blushes so handing over $25 was a little hard, but after hearing Jen from frmheadtotoe rave about it, I had to buy it. I haven't tried it yet but here are some pictures!

I also went to TJ Maxx with my mom to do some shopping before I head back to school. I actually think shopping is boring now...it's reach that point where I feel like I have too many clothes. That being said, I only browsed the clearance section but was pretty happy that I did.

This cotton maroon blazer was on sale for just $10! It was originally $60 so I thought it was a pretty good bargain.

Hope you guys all had a good week! I'm heading out to run a couple of errands now; I'm going back to school tomorrow and need to stock up on food and school supplies!
