Helloooo :D Today was such a relaxing day. I woke up at 10, worked on my Student Council PowerPoint for 4 hours, made spaghetti and meatballs for lunch, took a nap, and then went shopping with my mom. My family is eating dinner in a few minutes, and then we're going to watch either Hereafter or Despicable Me and eat Nuts on Clark popcorn :D
So anyway, in the later afternoon, my mom and I went to the mall. I mainly went in order to buy a summery dress to wear for tomorrow's Easter church service xD I have a LOT of dresses in my closet (I admit, a couple still have price tags on them...-feels incredibly guilty-) but they either aren't "church appropriate" (meaning spaghetti straps haha. I guess I could wear a cardigan over them but I hate wearing two layers when it comes to dresses :P ) or summery enough. I specifically wanted a floral or lace dress. Unfortunately, I didn't find any that I liked. So I'm planning on wearing a navy dress that I already own...I've had it for 4 months and the price tag is still on, so it's a good opportunity to wear it! Anywayyyy even though I didn't buy a summery dress, I bought two other things that I really love~
I went to Forever 21 and saw this cream pullover/sweater. I instantly fell in love with the sailboat design. I usually do not like to buy clothing from Forever 21 because I don't think the quality is that great, but this was too hard to pass up. Plus, it was only $15.80.
My mom really likes Banana Republic, so we stopped by as everything was 40% off. To be honest, I like it too! Especially the shoes, oh my goodness. I didn't buy any shoes though...instead, I bought this gorgeous black drape sweater cardigan thing! The second photo has horrible lighting, I know, but it was the only way to show the details of the sweater...since it is black it does not photograph well :(
At first, I didn't like it when I saw it on the rack. Even my mom thought it wasn't cute. But then I reached out and touched the fabric, and OH MY GOODNESS. It is so incredibly soft. I snatched it up to try on right away. I then checked the materials and figured out why it was so soft- it is made of 50% lamb wool and 5% cashmere! I got even more excited when I saw the price tag- it was originally $110, but marked down to $27. With the extra 40% off, it would end up being only $17 with tax. I got even more excited when I tried it on and it ended up looking really, really good. It was just one of those things where it looks bad on the rack but great on person. Needless to say, I bought it!
By the way, Part 2 of the Taiwan haul will be up tomorrow! :)
Have you guys bought anything recently? Did you guys get a great deal on a particularity gorgeous item? ^^
