homemade creme brulee

Last year my dad bought this creme brulee set that had ramekins, a creme brulee torch, and a recipe book. I tired one of the recipes from the book but didn't like it because the creme brulee turned out wayyy to runny and was too rich...
Last night though, I tried making it again, making a few changes to the recipe. It turned out perfectly! It was incredibly delicious :)
Before Carmelization

During the Carmelization Process
Today, I went to church. After we got back, my mom and I decided to go out shopping. Lots of stores put out their Presidents Day sale items out already, and their coupons can be used today and tomorrow, so we thought it would be smart to go ahead and shop today and avoid the crowd. We went to a few stores, like Macy's, Victoria's Secret, Caron's, and more but there wasn't anything that caught my eye. Then we went into Eddie Bauer because they were having their Winter clearance. I got this adorable hat for $10! I saw it a few weeks ago but it was still at it's retail price, $30. I decided not to buy it because it was too expensive, and I'm glad I waited! It's extremely soft and warm and super cute :D You can't really tell in the picture (crappy lighting, sorry! I took this at night) but the stripes are metallic silver...gorgeous <3
Overall, it was a good day! I don't have school Monday and Tuesday, but I have a lot of homework :/ I really can't wait for summer!
