Taiwan Haul Part 3

Hi everyone! This is the third part of my Taiwan Haul. Sorry for breaking it up into so many parts; I have been extremley busy lately and so it's easier for me to edit a small batch of photos at once instead of editing all the pictures from my Taiwan/Japan trip.

Back of the makeup pouch

I went to Watson's and bought a few Majolica Majorca makeup products to try out. I adore the packaging and I've heard nothing but good reviews of this brand's products. I'm not sure of the exact names of these products, but I picked up a liquid eyeliner, a cream eyeliner, 3 eyeshadow palettes, and a mascara that was highly recommended by my cousin Ivy. The mascara came with a free mirror. Also, Watson's was having a special promotion, so if you spend over 500 NTD on Majolica Majorca products you get a free makeup pouch.

I also bought 7 packs of 3m Nexcare acne patches. They work amazingly well and were fairly cheap (I think I paid about 70 NTD per pack). I regret not buying more!

Finally, I purchased this purse at Feng Jia night market for 350 NTD. The quality is pretty good but I wouldn't use it on a day to day basis. However, since I don't own a gray purse, I thought I might as well buy it.

Hope you guys enjoyed this (small) haul post! There's a lot more to come :P

Recent Purchases Part II

As the title suggests, this is Part II (for Part I, click here) of my original post featuring some of my recent purchases!

I was browsing the Forever 21 site the other day when I saw this gorgeous purse. It had a few positive reviews and cost just $20, so I went ahead and bought it in red. I really like it! Obviously it's not super good quality, but for the low price I am quite satisfied. Some have compared it to J. Crew's Edie purse (which costs $238) too! This purse is still in stock and you can buy it here.

I bought this belt at Kohl's for about $5 (originally $30). I really like the design of the gold clasp...I'm not sure what I would wear with it though.

I bought this skirt for $15 (originally $32) at TJ Maxx. I'm not sure what to wear with it though, so if you have any suggestions please let me know!

This dress is from Nordstrom Rack. I really like the silver floral design as it provides a nice contrast against the black inner layer. I think I got this for around $20.

I got this Forever 21 dress for just $13! It actually came with a skinny black belt but I forgot where I put it hehe. It's kind of hard to tell but the sleeves are actually this mesh/see through fabric. I really love this dress and wish it came in more colors.

This navy lace dress was from TJ Maxx and I believe it cost around $25. I think the quality is amazing and can't wait to wear it when it's warmer out. I didn't take a picture of it but the back of the dress is much lower than the front neckline of the dress.

I was so happy when I saw that this cardigan was on sale at Marshall's for about $20! When I first saw this, I really liked it but didn't want to pay $30 (I think), so I'm glad I waited until it went on sale.

Finally, I got also got this varsity jacket from Marshall's. It's actually a men's jacket lol. I was looking for hoodies for my brother when I saw this. I thought it was really cute and even though it's a size M, it fits me perfectly (I tend to wear size XS or S). Seeing that it was only $20, I decided to buy it. I've been wearing it almost every single day since then! The fleece lining inside is super comfy :)

By the way, I apologize yet again for the awful lighting. I take pride in my photography (not the photos on my blog though; nature photography is one of my hobbies) and I cringe when I look at my recent photos. I hate to make excuses but today was rather gloomy out, hence the less than favorable lighting found in these pictures. I also haven't mastered my DSLR camera and let's face it, Photoshop does wonders when it comes to adjusting the brightness/contrast/colors. Oh well. I guess one of my resolutions for 2013 is to figure out how to take better pictures!

Egg Tart & Coach Purchases

This morning I ate a couple of egg tarts (dan ta), which my mom picked up from Chinatown <3 They're so good! It's basically an egg custard, with a flaky crust.

Nothing much happened today. I went to church, and almost fell asleep because I was so tired from staying up last night with my family. We watched The Green Hornet, which was a really crappy movie by the way. I'm often disappointed by most movies. The only few exceptionally amazing movies on my list include Inception, The Social Network, Up, and Despicable Me. There's probably a few more, but I can't think of them right now.

Yesterday I forgot to mention that I also went to the outlet mall with my mom. We mainly went so my mom could use her 30% off Coach coupon. The mall opens at 10 am, so we headed out early and got there at approximately 10:20. There were already a ton of people there! Especially at the Coach store-oh goodness. There was a huge crowd of crazy overly excited women, snatching bags. My mom and I decided to brave the crowd, because my aunt asked my mom to buy her a Coach purse. My aunt lives overseas, and apparently Coach purses there are really expensive. My mom is visiting her soon, and would give the purse to her then. In the end, we ended up with 3 purses. One possibly for my mom, one for my aunt, and one possibly for me. And yes, they are all "C"-logo free. My mom and I are not fans of the repeated "C"-logo because we think they're tacky :P

This is the one that my mom may or may not keep. She likes small, genuine leather purses so this is honestly perfect for her! My mom still isn't sure whether she wants it though, because she just bought a Michael Kors purse a month or two ago.

This is the one for my aunt. She requested a black, big, leather purse. This is the only bag that we found that matched her "requirements". It's very business-professional, which is a plus because she goes on business trips a lot.

Finally, this is the one that I may or may not keep. It's gorgeous! It's a metallic bronze color (kind of hard to tell in the photos), and made of really soft leather. Unfortunately, it's the most expensive out of the Coach purses that we brought- it's around $250 I believe. Plus, I don't think it's that practical, because it's fairly big...so I'm probably going to ask my mom to return it for me :(

My ideal purse is still the Alexa (Mulberry) but it is $1,000...I am willing to spend up to $200 for a purse, but certainly not $1,000! What is your ideal purse? How much are you willing to spend for a purse?
